Traditional Music Director and Organist

A native of Seoul, South Korea, and was raised in a Christian family. God’s grace and protection were evident in her early life, but it was not until her early thirties that she became a Christian as she learned and experienced the power of God’s words as she studied the Bible. The love and sacrifice of Jesus have changed the purpose of her life. She obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ from the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, Korea, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Organ Performance and Literature under the guidance of Dr. Hans Davidsson at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Mrs. Son is the Traditional Music Director and Organist at Providence Presbyterian Church on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina since 2012. She lives with her husband, Sangkyun Kim, who graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017, and with five children, Julie, Isaac, Daniel, Joseph, Stephen John Kim.
